Eyewear: frame dimensions are only part of the picture.
Use frame dimensions to research fit, and request separate evidence for lens claims. A dark lens, a label, or a QC image does not establish UV protection, prescription suitability, or any protective performance.
Record the frame details
- Find lens width, bridge width, and temple length, with units and a clear explanation of what is measured.
- Compare the numbers with a frame that fits you. Also consider the frame shape and nose support.
- Check the selected frame color, lens option, hinge appearance, and included case or accessories.
- If the listing makes a lens-performance claim, ask for applicable supporting documentation. Leave the claim unresolved if the evidence is missing.
