Eyewear: frame dimensions are only part of the picture.

Use frame dimensions to research fit, and request separate evidence for lens claims. A dark lens, a label, or a QC image does not establish UV protection, prescription suitability, or any protective performance.

Record the frame details

  1. Find lens width, bridge width, and temple length, with units and a clear explanation of what is measured.
  2. Compare the numbers with a frame that fits you. Also consider the frame shape and nose support.
  3. Check the selected frame color, lens option, hinge appearance, and included case or accessories.
  4. If the listing makes a lens-performance claim, ask for applicable supporting documentation. Leave the claim unresolved if the evidence is missing.

This guide does not assess optical suitability or certify protective eyewear. Do not rely on an unverified listing for a required protective function. The category link only identifies a live PickFound collection.

Questions before the next step

Can a QC image verify a lens claim?

No. An image may show visible condition or markings; it does not test the lens or verify a performance claim.
